Airport College International K.K. has become a Supporting Member of the Airport Ground Handling Association (AGHA) in Japan, effective January 1, 2025. This membership reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting ground handling companies in Japan with world-class training solutions and best practices.
Strengthening Japan's Ground Handling Industry
The decision was formalised during the 8th AGHA Board of Directors meeting on December 20, 2024. AGHA is a key organization in Japan’s aviation sector, representing 114 companies and over 42,000 employees.
By joining AGHA, Airport College International aims to collaborate with industry leaders to address the unique challenges faced by ground handling operations in Japan. The Japanese aviation industry is renowned for its focus on precision and quality. However, it also faces challenges like increasing operational complexity and workforce upskilling. Our role as a Supporting Member will be to help AGHA members build a highly trained workforce capable of meeting these demands through flexible, practical, and scalable training programs.

Local Presence in Japan: Supporting the Market from Tokyo
To ensure that we meet the specific needs of Japanese ground handling companies, Airport College International operates a local branch and office in Tokyo. This presence allows us to provide support, maintain close connections with industry stakeholders, and tailor our training solutions to fit the requirements of the Japanese market.
Being locally based also enables us to understand the operational challenges ground handling companies face in Japan and to deliver solutions that address them effectively.
Courses in English and Japanese
Recognising the importance of language in training, we offer our eLearning courses not only in English but also in Japanese. This ensures that all employees, regardless of their language preference, can access and fully understand the material. By removing language barriers, we help companies improve their workforce’s skills and maintain high levels of safety, security, and operational efficiency.
Elevating Standards Across Japan's Airports
Every year, thousands of ground handling employees across the globe use Airport College International’s training programs to sharpen their skills and stay updated with industry requirements. For Japanese companies, our courses provide a practical way to address key pain points, including workforce readiness, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective upskilling.
Looking Ahead
We aim to contribute meaningfully to Japan’s aviation industry, ensuring that ground handling companies have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. We can empower employees, improve safety and service, and set a benchmark for excellence in Japan’s airports.
