It’s summer in the Northern Hemisphere and time to prepare for winter

For six months of the year, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted towards the sun, while the Southern Hemisphere is tilted away. For the next six months, the situation is reversed.

Whichever hemisphere is tilted towards the sun experiences more energy, and warms up, while the hemisphere tilted away receives less energy and cools down.

This tilt also explains why the days are longer in the summer and then shorter in the winter.

In the Northern Hemisphere it’s time to plan for next winter and what’s why we are updating our De-icing e-Learning course for the coming winter season.

The course is designed in accordance with international requirements and recommendations to cover the theoretical part of the training and we want to ensure that learners will enjoy our pedagogical approach too.
