Air cargo industry must educate next generation of managers

The air cargo industry faces a big training challenge to prepare the next generation of managers for airfreight industry. This is a key finding according to a two-year research project. A task force led by major associations (TIACA, IATA and FIATA) published the final report including an educational demands matrix.

The task force concluded that managers need to have basic skills and operational knowledge of the industry and focus to so-called “higher skills,” which include leadership, team-building and market and financial analysis techniques. The task force compiled a comprehensive educational matrix identifying training courses and areas of deficiency.

We at AirportCollege.com support the industry and are willing to create high end e-learning programs in co-operation with industry players. We strongly believe that we have something to give for the air cargo managers of the future!
